हंस योग

Hamsa Yoga

Jupiter in own sign or exalted, in a kendra. Wisdom, dharma, generosity.

Classical reading

One of the five Pancha Mahapurusha (Great Personage) yogas. Forms when Jupiter occupies its own signs (Sagittarius, Pisces) or its exaltation sign (Cancer) while sitting in a kendra (1st, 4th, 7th, or 10th). Classical reading: lifelong wisdom, dharmic authority, generosity, protective grace, and the ability to teach. Hamsa (the swan) symbolises the discrimination between essence and surface — one of Jupiter's defining qualities.
