Vedic Transits Calculator

Where the planets are now, mapped onto your natal chart. Saturn returns, Jupiter returns, Sade Sati phases, Rahu/Ketu over the luminaries — the classical signatures, automatically detected.

How transits work in Vedic astrology

Your natal chart is the map; transits are the weather. Two charts with very similar natal promises can unfold differently because their transits activate different planets at different ages. The Vedic tradition emphasises sidereal transits read through whole-sign houses, with two simultaneous anchors:

  • From your Lagna how the transit shows up in visible life events.
  • From your natal Moon (Chandra Lagna) — how the transit lands emotionally and in the inner world.

When a transit registers from both anchors, the effect is unambiguous. When it registers from only one, the read is partial — the calculator shows you both columns so you can judge.

Patterns this calculator detects automatically

  • Saturn return Saturn back in your natal Saturn sign, ~ages 28–30 and 57–60.
  • Jupiter return Jupiter back in your natal Jupiter sign, every ~12 years.
  • Sade Sati phases Saturn in 12th, 1st, or 2nd from natal Moon (rising / peak / setting). For a deeper read see the dedicated Sade Sati page.
  • Saturn over Sun external pressure on authority, vitality, and direction.
  • Jupiter through 5th or 9th from Moon classical auspicious-year signatures.
  • Rahu over Sun, Ketu over Moon eclipse-like, transformational themes activating the luminaries.
  • Mars over Saturn friction, accident risk, the temptation to break what should be patiently rebuilt.
