Dhana Bhava
Second House
Wealth, family of origin, speech, and what we accumulate.
The second house — Dhana Bhava — governs accumulated wealth, the family of origin (especially the immediate paternal family), speech, food and what we ingest, the right eye, and the value we hold. Whereas the 11th house is wealth from external gains, the 2nd is wealth held — savings, fixed assets, jewellery, stored value. The 2nd is also called the maraka (death-inflicting) house in classical timing analysis, despite its other auspicious significations.
